Privacy policy

• Account details: your name, email address and a securely hashed password (we never store your password itself), plus a phone number if you add one.
• Bookings: the service, barber, date and time, any notes you add, and your appointment history.
• Messages and reviews: what you send through the contact form, the reviews you write and any replies.
• Payments: if you pay online, the payment is handled by Stripe. We receive confirmation and the amount, not your card number.
• Technical data: your IP address and browser details, used to keep the site secure (for example rate limiting) and recorded in audit logs for account and booking actions.
• Style advisor: if you use the optional advisor, the text you type into it.
• Text reminders: if you add a mobile number and tick the box, we text appointment reminders to it. Consent is optional, you can switch it off in your account settings, and replying STOP also opts you out.
• Booking activity: anonymous counts of which booking steps a browser tab reaches, using a random id kept only in that tab (no cookie). It is not linked to your account and is used to find where booking can be made easier. It is skipped if your browser sends Do Not Track.

• To make, confirm, change and remind you about appointments.
• To run your account, take payments and reply to your messages.
• To show verified reviews and keep the site secure and reliable.
• To measure how the site performs so we can make it faster and easier to use.

We use a small number of service providers who process data on our behalf:

• Vercel, to host the website and measure performance and aggregate visits.
• Neon, to store our database.
• Resend, to send booking confirmations, reminders and replies by email.
• Twilio, to send text reminders to customers who opted in.
• Sentry, which receives technical error reports (the error, page and browser type, without account details) so we can fix problems quickly.
• Stripe, to process online card payments.
• Google Maps, which powers the map on the contact page and may set its own cookies when it loads.
• An AI model provider, only when the optional style advisor is used, to turn what you typed into a suggestion.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights and the safety of others.

We use one essential cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising cookies or sell data to advertisers. Website analytics are aggregate and do not track you across other sites. The embedded map on the contact page is provided by Google and is governed by Google's own privacy policy.

We keep account and booking information for as long as you have an account and for a reasonable period afterwards for records, disputes and legal obligations. You can ask us to delete your account and personal information at any time.

You can view and update your details in your account settings. You may ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information, or to tell you what we hold. If you live in California, you have these rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, and we will not discriminate against you for using them.

The site is not aimed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information. Parents and guardians may book for a child from their own account.

We protect your information with encrypted connections, hashed passwords and access limited to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.
